Welcome to CYM [Chapel of the Lake Youth Ministries]. We are so glad that you have chosen to visit us. In the up coming semester we will embark on a journey into the life of the greatest king to ever live. King David was anointed by God as the king of Israel when he was just a young boy. His life, before being crowned and after, is a very powerful example of how we as Christians should live. Through out scripture King David is mentioned more than any other figure, aside from Jesus Christ. David is the only person who God calls “a man after mine own heart” and it is through King David that God establishes a covenant that shapes the world in which we now live. A covenant of promise and grace. As we study the life of this great man, we are challenged to be men and women of humility, integrity and passion. We are taught how to be great leaders that will change the world and lead our friends to the Covenant of Grace found in the promised King who reigns forever and ever, Jesus Christ.
