Benevolence, Chapel of the Lake

At Chapel of the Lake, our Benevolence ministry seeks to embody the love and compassion of Christ by reaching out to those facing hardship, whether within our church family or in the broader community.

We believe God calls us to care for the needy, provide relief in times of crisis, and extend dignity and hope to those whom life has challenged.

What We Do

Through Benevolence, we offer practical support through several ministries:

Food Pantry

We maintain a supply of non‑perishable food items and groceries, helping individuals and families who are struggling to secure meals.

Back Pack Ministry

We provide backpacks filled with essential food or school items for families in need, especially during times of financial stress or when children are going back to school.

Mercy Ministry

We reach out to those who may be emotionally, physically, or spiritually burdened — offering prayer, encouragement, and tangible acts of kindness.

Handyman Ministry

We assist with practical household needs: small repairs, maintenance, or other practical help for those who cannot afford or are unable to do these themselves.
