About Us
Chapel of the Lake is a non-denominational church serving the community of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri and surrounding counties. We are located about 45 minutes west of downtown St. Louis, MO. We are a congregation o around 300, who recently celebrated our 50th anniversary of bringing the gospel to our community. St. Charles County has been one of the fastest growing counties in Missouri for the last 20 years.
We are driven by the desire to faithfully and clearly preach the Word of God and equipping and discipling our body to make disciples. We have an outsized heart for local and international missions, demonstrated through long-term, vibrant relationships with 25 missionary families serving around the world, and a missions budget that is over 25% of our giving.
As families continue to commit to our church, the need for creativity, growth, and a transition towards the future is key. We are seeking high-performing candidates to join our church staff. Job Openings
Office Administrator
Chapel of the Lake is seeking candidates for the position of Office Administrator. The position consists of four 8-hour days per week (Tuesday – Friday) from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Compensation is set at an hourly rate by the Board of Deacons. The beginning salary range is $22 - $26, based on experience and qualifications. Holidays, two weeks of vacation and up to 4 days of sick leave per year are also provided.
Qualifications: Must be a Christian who shares a commitment to the ministry of Chapel of the Lake, who adheres to the Chapel Doctrinal positions, and has a life above reproach; who can effectively represent the Lord Jesus Christ to both members and newcomers.
The ideal candidate will have secretarial experience in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Outlook, and SharePoint; be familiar with database programs such as Planning Center, and also understand MailChimp and Canva. In addition, candidates should be knowledgeable in office systems and filing protocols, possess good communication and excellent organizational skills.
In addition to these office systems skills, we are also seeking a candidate who has a pleasant, friendly demeanor, professional phone etiquette, excellent verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, a servant’s heart, and the ability to gracefully multi-task.
